Club records, have you got one?
The Club is working on updating records, and right now we have a heap of new records particularly in underage events. Our Under 20 sprint team (Tim Petersen, Riley Caines, Lachlan Feain and Michael Giancola) set a new 4 x 200m at the Shield final in February of 1:32.65. (Three of the same group with Dylan Vowles in place of Lachlan set the open 4 x 200m record of 1:31.39 at Williamstown in December last year.)
Other new records include Kye Gillingham U15 800m 2:04.22; Mitchel Langborne U15 1500m 4:17.55, U15 2000mS 6:37.90, and U15 3000m 9:43.24. Some of these records go back to the 1970s so they have been a long time falling. Congratulations everyone.
We would love all members to turn a keen eye to their own personal archives – as well as monitoring current performances – to check on potential records that we may have overlooked. We are updating the KSB records archive and don’t want to miss anything. So check out your results and let us know if you think you might have a performance that could get your name immortalised!
